78Miles Chikara Muraoka, 77, of Kaunakakai, a retired state Department of Education administrator, died in Straub Clinic & Hospital. He was born in Hawaii. He is survived by wife Rose A. Yamada, sons Joel T. and Curtis K., stepsons Ashley H. and Bradley M. Yamada, brother Stanley T. and sister Edna M. Sakuda. Private services. In lieu of flowers and monetary offerings, donations suggested to support public education science programs at Waialae Public Charter School or West Hawaii Explorations Academy Public Charter School.
