Joel Lester Thornton, 65, of Glenwood, Hawaii, a reliability manager at Ocean Technology Inc. and Litton Industries, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Way Cross, Ga. He is survived by wife Andrea, son Tito, sister Toni, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Private services.
