Goro Uehara, 83, of Honolulu, a professor of soil science at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Carolyn C., sons Keith I. and Jeffrey K., daughters Sandra M. Oda and Deanna F. Kimura, brothers Masaichi and Sueo, and eight grandchildren. Visitation: 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Inurnment: 10:30 a.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual attire. No flowers.
