78John August Moniz, 76, of Kaneohe, a retired Hawaii Preparatory Academy groundskeeper, died in Kaneohe. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Opal, son Thomas Liphard, daughter Kathleen Enos, brother Raymond, sister Jessica Koyonagi, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. No services.
