95, of Aina Haina, Oahu, passed away January 14. He was a retired Senior Building Inspector for the Honolulu City & County. He was an avid golf player and master on shore fisherman. He enjoyed watching baseball and golf. He was a participant in the Honolulu Heart Program because of his longevity physically, mentally, and intellectually. His ability to remember events was astounding to many who knew him in his prime years. He never lost his alertness, wisdom and charm. He was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his sons: Norman (wife Barbara), Denis and Gene (wife Lorene). His six Grandchildren: Denise Miller (husband Dallas) Kyle Unten (Val), Tammy Unten, Kelly Mackura (husband Corey), Kacie Oyadomari (husband Darryl), and Karah Unten. His Four great-grandchildren: Danika Miller, Liam Mackura, Emi Mackura, and Aliyah Oyadomari.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Services 2 p.m. Sunday (2/5/12) At Hosoi Garden Mortuary, Casual attire.
