74Jay Juan Serain, 98, of Hilo, a retired truck and tractor operator at Ookala and Laupahoehoe sugar companies, died at home. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Beatrice; sons Rudy, Jay and Daryl; daughter Karon Serain-Darnall; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary, Papaikou, Hawaii. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Mauna Kea Memorial Park. Casual attire.
