PAUL ARTHUR DOLAN
Age 78, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away peacefully on 2/1/12. Born in Honolulu on 12/27/33, Paul was the seventh and final child of Louis and Christine Dolan of Round Top Drive. He was a graduate of St. Louis High School ('51) and the University of Hawaii ('58), and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Paul retired as a Hawaii State Boating Regulation Officer, and Past District Commodore ('77-'78), U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, 14th District, with 22 years of volunteer service. He was a Life Member (68 years) of the Outrigger Canoe Club (OCC) and an avid waterman. Paul spent decades swimming, surfing, canoeing, sailing and boating throughout the islands. He was also a passionate historian, making significant contributions to the OCC Historical Committee, and acting as the extended family genealogist. Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Gail; sons, Peter (Michelle) of Mission Viejo, CA; Jeffrey (Takako), of San Ramon, CA; daughter, Andrea (Raymond) Owen, of Coto de Caza, CA.; sister, Louise DuMontier of Ellisville, MO; six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at the Outrigger Canoe Club on Wednesday, February 8th at 8:30 am. Private internment will follow at Punchbowl.
