81Ernest Kuulei Pelekai, 80, of Hana, Maui, a retired Hana Hotel gardener, died at home. He was born in Hana. He is survived by son Mack K. Kalalau-Pelekai; brothers Clyde, Henry, Paul, Edward and Frank; sisters Vivian Akana, Ethel Smith, Edith Marciel and Violet Cooper; a grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
