80Benjamin Gerardo Joaquin Sr., 91, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a retired bulldozer operator at the former Davies Hamakua and former shuttle bus driver at Hilton Waikoloa, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is survived by sons Benjamin Jr., Brocky, Lance and Clayton; daughters Teresita Ramos, Dalles Turbeville and Donna Kotaki; 18 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Honokaa. Services: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, Mormon Section. Casual attire.
