Ronald Tsutomu Yamada, 86, of Pearl City, a retired Honolulu Fire Department captain and an Army veteran, died in Waipahu. He was born in Wahiawa. He is survived by wife Alice; sons Gary and Dennis; daughters Gailyn Kuni, Janice Medeiros and Coleen Chur; brother Tom; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private services.
