"Bill" Coops, 79, of Honolulu, former director of administration for the Research Corp. of the University of Hawaii, interim managing director of the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii and Hawaii Ocean Science and Technology Park, and a Navy veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Los Angeles. He is survived by wife Carol, brother James H. and sister Judith L. Lessard. No services. No flowers.
