LYNDEL MCGOWEN (BACKMAN) FEHL
Passed away in Vista, CA on January 22, 2012. Lyn obtained her BS from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1976, where she was a founding member of Sigma Theta Tau. She was a Psychiatric Nurse Specialist at Kuakini Hospital for many years, where grief work with patients and their families was her gift. She was married to Karl Backman, of Honolulu, with whom she had three daughters. She was later married to Mark Fehl, of Lake Charles, LA.
