PATRICIA DIANE KIM Feb. 22, 2012 Patricia Diane "Pat" Kim, 78, formally of Pearl City passed on February 22, 2012. She was born on November 21, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri. Pat was the only child of Raymond Ambrose Kelsheimer and Theresa Lorraine (Kelly). She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1951. She went on to graduate from Kapiolani Nursing School, where she became an LPN. She was employed at St. Francis Hospital/Hospice retiring after nearly 30 years of service. While working at St. Francis she was heavily involved with the Teamsters Local 996 Union and became a Shop Steward. After retiring Pat graduated from HPD'S Citizens Watch Patrol Program. Pat was an active participant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Having been a parishioner for over 50 years, she had been a choir member for many years. She is survived by sons Michael "Mike" (Leslie) Cho and David Kim; daughters Dannette "Dani" (Carl) Heu, Valerie "Val" (Larry) Butcher, and Kathleen "Cho" (Norbert) Paiva Jr., 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Rose Kim; and many family members in Missouri. She was preceded in death by daughter Theresa Marie Cho Auwae. Visitation 8:30 am, Thursday, March 29th at Our lady of Good Counsel Church, 1525 Waimano Home Rd, Pearl City, HI; Mass at 10:00 am. Burial 11:30 am at Mililani Memorial Park, Casual attire. In lieu of Flowers, donations suggested to Benedictine Monastery at 67-290 Farrington Hwy., Waialua, HI 96791 or Special Olympics Hawaii Inc. at P.O. Box 3295, Honolulu, HI 96826 on her behalf.
