ANNA NAEHU HACKBARTH
Anna Naehu Hackbarth peacefully passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012. Born on March 14, 1922 in Waihee, Maui, she was retired from the US Government and worked at Ft. Shafter and Camp Smith as a Clerk Stenographer.
Edward Carlson Hackbarth peacefully passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012. Born on April 14, 1923 in Makaweli, Kauai, he was retired from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a Pipe Fitter. Both died at their home in Kalihi.
They are survived by daughters Loretta (Elijah) Thomas, Leilani Hackbarth, Deanna (Jeff) Isbister and preceded in death by son Wallace Hackbarth. Anna Naehu is survived by her brother Arthur Naehu of Waialua, Moloka'i. Both are also survived by five grandchildren (Hollie, Kaipo, Pua, Summer, and Paul, Jr.) plus 10 great-grandchildren. They enjoyed being with friends at their Makule Senior Softball League as well as their many trips to Las Vegas.
Services to be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Visitation 10am with services at 11am. Burial to follow at 1:00 pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
