Lavaina J.K. Ching, age 81, passed away in Aiea on March 17th, 2012. She is survived by sons Wendall Kahele, Lesford, Robert, and Gregson Ching, daughters Paula Hirai, Alison Ching, and Kaylia Iona (hanai), thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Lawrence K. Kahele, sisters Lorraine Arboleda and Janice Low. Lavaina was preceded in death by husband Rueben Ching. Services will be on Thursday, April 5th at Diamond Head Memorial Park Chapel. Visitation from 9:30am-11:00am, memorial service from 11:00am-12 noon. Burial at 12:45pm. Aloha attire is requested.
