Charles Connor Cowpland, 84, of Papaikou, Hawaii, a commercial fisherman and an Army veteran who served during World War II and the Korean War, died at home. He was born in Dallas. He is survived by wife Donna, son Scott, daughters Grace Sulsberger and Gail Cowpland, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services. Donations suggested to Hospice of Hilo.
