VERNON TOKIHARU SOGAVERNON TOKIHARU SOGA
89 of Kahana Bay, Hawaii passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2012. Born May 1, 1922 in Kawailoa. He was an avid golfer, surfer and a highly skilled mechanic. Retired after 23 years of service as the Assistant Shop Supervisor with the Honolulu Fire Department, he took pride in repairing everything from small engines to Fire Engines. Vernon was preceded in death by his son Vernon Nana. He is survived by his wife Beatrice; daughters Verna and Blanche; daughter-in-law Carol; grand-children Kinohi (Glenda), Tricia, Dana, Anuhea, Reiko, Brittany, Shane, Shaun and Isabel; great-grandchildren Keely, Adrian and Winter Soga. Visitation 9:00am, services 10:30am on Friday April 13, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Hauula Makai Chapel. Burial 1:00pm at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
