William “Billy†Caravalho, 82, of Kapaau, Hawaii, a state Highways Division equipment operator and a retired national guardsman, died in Kohala Hospital. He was born in Kohala. He is survived by wife Violet; son Harvey; daughters Susan Keadle, Stella Mendoza and Patricia Higaki; brothers Jimmy and Kenneth; sister Jane Walker; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. April 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 55-3374 Akoni Pule Highway, Hawi. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
