84, of Honolulu peacefully passed away on March 26, 2012 at home. Born on July 4, 1927 in Honolulu. Retired Army Sergeant 1st Class, Retired Pearl Harbor Naval Base Police, Korean War Veteran and Member of the 5th Regimental Combat Team.
He is survived by wife, Edna Lopes; son, Lester Lopes; daughters, Stephanie Hisatake Uejio (Clifford), Raynette Lopes, Tammy Chun (Kenneth), Melissa Rogne (John); sisters, Betty Kamoku, Udelia Sillivan, Blenda Billman; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation 9AM Friday (April 13th) at Borthwick Mortuary- Mauka Chapel; Funeral Service 10:30AM; Burial 2PM at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha attire. No flowers.
