74Brent Sherman Gallagher, 72, of Honohina, Hawaii, a professor of oceanography at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Hilo, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Massachusetts. He is survived by wife Gina, son Brian, daughter Dawn Sylwin, hanai daughter Christina Chatfield, brother David, sister Stella Cordes and three grandchildren. Celebration of life: 4 p.m. Friday at Coconut Island pavilion. Casual attire.
