BEATRICE S.Y. LUKE
Beatrice S. Y. Lum Luke passed away on April 9, 2012 at the age of 97. Born in Honolulu on September 1, 1914, she led a full and beautiful life filled with the love of her family and many friends in the community. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, K.J. Luke, and is survived by her four children, Warren K. K. (Carolyn) Luke, Loretta Luke (Tyler) Yajima, Sharlene Luke Mau and Janice Luke (Wilson) Loo, 13 grand-children and 8 great-grand-children.
She will be remembered by friends for her love of golf and by her family for her devotion to them and for her service to others throughout her life. Her legacy continues through numerous programs established that provide educational opportunities for youth and serve others in need.
In accordance with her wishes, a private family service was held at Nuuanu Memorial Park. The family respectfully asks that no gifts be sent or donations be made in her memory. She wished to be remembered with many thoughts of happy times shared with friends and family.
