ROBERT FRANCIS CORREAROBERT FRANCIS CORREA

Robert "Bob" Correa was born to Manuel and Rose (Freitas) Correa and was raised on the slopes of Punchbowl. After graduating from McKinley High School he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Upon returning home, Bob was hired at Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) where he worked for 35 years until his retirement as Superintendent. He lived and raised his family in Kailua, a place that he always treasured.
Bob loved spending time with his family, having barbecues, gardening, singing karaoke and golfing with family and friends. Bob and Shirley especially enjoyed their yearly trips to Las Vegas with the Hawaiian Electric Retiree Golf Club. He was very proud of his children and five grand-children who called him "Papa". He always had a smile, a hug and a positive attitude for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Shirley Ann (Caetano) Correa, Daughter, Robin G. Kouke (Wilfred). Son, Michael P. Correa (Dawn). Five grand-children, Bradley M.M. Kouke, Kristin M.A. Kouke, Michael P. Correa Jr., Jonathan R. Correa, and Jennifer M. Correa.
Having bravely battled cancer for years, he died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Robert was loved by his family and will be missed by all.
Visitation at 10:30-11:30 AM, services at 11:30 AM, Monday April 30, at Saint John Vianney Church in Kailua. Burial 2:00 PM at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery (Kaneohe). Casual attire; no flowers.
