Robert Taira Takato, 89, of Honolulu, a retired state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations hearing officer, Dole Food Co. Inc./Castle and Cooke Inc. insurance risk manager, and an Army veteran, died. He was born in Papaikou, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Miye O., son Wayne, daughter Cora and sister Stella Shinbo. Private services.
