Dona Rainer Kele Kokoali’iole CaminosDONA RAINER KELE KOKOALI'IOLE CAMINOS
Age 73, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2012 at Nu'uanu Hale under the care of Island Hospice. She was born in Kohala, Hawai'i to Louise Kele Kokoali'iole and William Caminos, and graduated from Kohala High School in 1956. She worked for a short time as a licensed practical nurse at Hale Nani Nursing Home, but spent most of her life working a variety of jobs in the hotel and restaurant industries.
Dona loved to read the Bible daily and enjoyed hanging out with her friends at Wisteria Vista Senior Apartments where she resided for the past 12 years prior to becoming ill. Living with Type I diabetes since the age of 5, Dona finally succumbed to its damaging effects and was taken from us suddenly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
She leaves behind her children, George (Michie) Wright III, Sheldon (Pauline) Wright, Charles Pang, William Pang, Alice Ho'o Wright and Rainer "Mapu" (Keith) Dilliner; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children, Charman Wright, Robin Wright, Louis Wright and Georgette Wright.
Dona will be dearly missed, and her memory will live on in the many lives she has touched. While we may all be saddened by the loss of a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, we all have the opportunity to receive the gift of Salvation! "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."(Acts 16:31 KJV)
Visitation from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Borthwick Mortuary-Maunakea Chapel; service 11 a.m.; burial 2:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Lei are welcome. Aloha attire is suggested.
