Bernie "Granny" Amasiu, age 59, passed away at her home in Kailua peacefully, just as she wished, surrounded by her family on April 4, 2012. She was born in Honolulu on April 9, 1952
She had a heart of gold and truly knew the meaning of "Love" which she whole heartedly extended to everyone she met.
Survived by her husband Simon K. Amasiu, daughter Denise (Aldemir) Lugo, Sons, Joseph A (Kiana) & Chad A (Iris) and 8 grandkids
Hawaiian Memorial Park Thurs, 5/10 Visitation 5 p.m. Services 6 p.m. & Fri, 5/11, Visitation 10 a.m. Services 11 a.m. Burial 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Celebration of Life to follow @ 413 Ulupaina Street, Kailua.
