Thelma Marie Groff Jones, 89, of Hilo, formerly of Aiea, a professional singer and a Navy veteran who served in World War II with Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service and an aviation metalsmith at Barbers Point, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home, Hilo. She was born in Philadelphia. She is survived by sister Pearl Jacobson. Private services. Incorrect information an obituary published Friday.
