John Thomas Carey Jr., 83, of Kailua, a retired electrical supervisor at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Shop 51 and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Kailua. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Michael and Richard, daughters Cathleen Darrow and Caren Leder, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. George Church, 41-1323 Kalanianaole Highway, Waimanalo. Reception to follow. Private committal services. Aloha attire.
