Sadamu Daida, 94, of Lawai, Kauai, a retired Kauai County heavy-equipment operator and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Battalion, Medical Detachment, died in Hale Kupuna Heritage. He was born in Koloa, Kauai. He is survived by sons Bruce and Barry; daughters Gloria Camp, Darlene Daida-Martin, Joy Faufata and Sherry Andrade; brothers Masami and Masao; sister Machie Fukushima; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Kauai Veterans Cemetery. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
