William W. Griffith, 89, of Aiea, a retired Air Force colonel who served in World War II with the "Flying Tigers" and a proprietor of Griffith Home Services, died in Aiea. He was born in Fullerton, Pa. He is survived by son Bill, daughters Bonny Griffith and Barbara McKenney, stepson Darryl Summers, hanai sons Ric Brady and Dwight York, hanai daughter Sue York, brother Robert, sister Jean Andrews, companion Eileen Elfsten, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Committal services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire. No flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor, 319 Lexington Blvd., Hangar 37, Honolulu, HI 96818.
