Curtis Davis Shoemaker, 89, of Waimea, Hawaii, a retired Hawaii Telephone Co. engineer and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua. He was born in Berkeley, Calif. He is survived by wife Momi; sons Karl Shoemaker and Phillip Hervey; daughters Sandra Carr, Sydney Stevens and Iayon Shoemaker; brother Richard Millen; and 11 grandchildren. Private services.
