Hemenis "Norman" Ilac, 87, of Banning, Calif., formerly of Honolulu, a retired Waikiki Food Pantry security guard and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Banning. He was born in North Hilo. He is survived by sons Bernal M. Ilac and Kalei Campbell; daughters Evelyn Kringen, Suzette Pico and Kathryn Ussery; sisters Kay Acoba and Rose Meyer; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 9:45 a.m. Committal services: 11:30 a.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual or aloha attire.
