Stephen Keliimolowaole Kapanui, 79, of Honolulu, an Army veteran, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Kailua-Kona. He is survived by wife Patricia; sons John and Virgil Kapanui, and Stephen Kekaulike; daughters Annette Holbron and Stevenette "Cookie" Lee; brothers Simeon Kekaulike and George Aukai; sisters Elizabeth L. Lee and Doris Wright; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Monday at Mililani Downtown Mortuary. Services: 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation: 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Services: 9:30 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
