Haruo Kanbe, 79, of Honolulu, a retired Pan American World Airways aircraft mechanic and an Army veteran, died in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Kau, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Hiroko; son Keith K.; brothers Richard S., Ivan I. and Verne A.; sister Jean T. Uemura; and two grandchildren. Private services.
