78Malaki Kalaokapono Kanahele, 56, of Eleele, Kauai, a painter, died in Honolulu. He was born on Niihau. He is survived by wife Santaak; sons Hino, Rocky and Lanikai; daughters Laurie Pahulehua, Mahina K. Powell, and Lani, Dilynn and Stacey Kanahele; brothers Kuuwehi and Kalana; and sisters Lama Kaohelaulii, Minoaka Kanahele and Pupu Duarte. Celebration of life: 2:30 p.m. today at Salt Pond.
