71Ah Vin Jacob "Jake" Zane, 80, of Kapaau, Hawaii, formerly of Honolulu, a retired heavy equipment operator, died at home. He was born in Niulii, Hawaii. He is survived by sons James Zane and Baltazar Garces; daughters Mary Farrar, Cindy Teruya, Bernadette Kaai and Belinda Ramos; brother Douglas Lee; sister Annie L. Marcello; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. Casual attire.
