LAURA "EDEN" EDER DEFIESTA
Age 71, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2012 at Kaiser Permanente, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. After retiring from Maluhia Hospital, she traveled around the world several times. She was nominated in 2004 Parents of the Year, along with her husband of 46 years. That same year, she won the title of Charity Queen of St. Anthony School and Church for her tremendous generosity. She was a devout Catholic and involved in several Church ministries.
She is survived by her Husband, Enrique. Sons: Benjamin, Clarence (Sheila), Anthony, and Enrique (Lorie) Jr. Sister, Victorina E. Acosta, and Brother Feliberto S. Eder. And four grandsons, many nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of her life will be on Thursday June 14 at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:00pm. A service will begin at 6:00pm. Additional visitation: 9:30am Friday at St. Anthony Church-Kalihi, Mass at 10:30am. Burial at 2:00pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
