Wallace Gim Tam Ching, 86, of Honolulu, a retired ship maintenance scheduler at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Harriet, son Wendell, daughter Mona Ung, brothers Jack and William, sisters Violet Chew and Eleanor Lung, and three grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Church, 2324 Omilo Lane, Honolulu. Eulogy: 10:30 a.m. Mass: 11 a.m. Committal services: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
