Moheni Lakatani, 71, of Kaaawa, a Hawaii state prison guard, died in Honolulu. He was born in Tuapa, Niue Island. He is survived by wife Tiana; sons Jackson, Marvin and Miko Lakatani, Aunuua King-Lakatani, Raleigh Talia-Lakatani and Manu Tauala-Lakatani; daughters Harriett Taito-Lakatani, Ijeva Matavele-Lakatani, Leatrice Tuigamela-Lakatani, Tiana Kennar Lakatani and Pinky Vole-Lakatani; brothers Sani Elia, Posimani, Pete, Jackson, Kristo, Panapa and Sam; sisters Make Suini Cummings, and Elama and Trinity Lakatani; 28 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. July 6 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hauula makai chapel. Services: 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Valley of the Temples.
