William (Bill) Mullen Ayers, of Waianae, was born in Honolulu December 12, 1948. He worked in the travel industry for many years, retired from the State of Hawaii, Hawaii Public Housing Authority (section 8) as a research counsel assistant, a Graduate of St. Louis High School class of 1966. He attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa and was a former UH football player.
He coached basketball at St. Theresa's, football at Damien, Palama Settlement, Maui High, Lahaina Luna and Nanakuli High Schools.
He is survived by his Mother Violet Infante Ayers, Daughter Stacie Ayers Lynch (Brendan) brothers Patrick H. Ayers and Jack Luster Ayers, Jr. He is also survived by his long time companion Ms. Rae Tamara and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Makaha Beach Park with visitation at 11:00am-11:30am with the scattering of his ashes to follow at sea.
Fellowship to follow after the scattering of the ashes at the beach park. Casual Attire.
