DARWIN K. F. CHANG
Darwin Kui Fook Chang, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, June 22, 1931, died April 9, 2012 in Fullerton, California. He was the son of the late Clarence Y.N. and Flora Low Chang.
An outstanding football and baseball athlete, Darwin graduated from Punahou School in 1950. He received a Bachelor's degree from University of Missouri-Columbia and a M. Ed. from Indiana University-Bloomington in 1956. Over 35 years as an eduacator in southern California high schools, Darwin taught science and coached football, baseball and golf.
He is survived by his sister, Adrienne Yee. He was also loved by a large extended family of relatives, friends, former colleagues and students. He influenced many lives and will be greatly missed.
Darwin's life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Thurston Memorial Chapel, Punahou School, 1601 Punahou Street; visitation from 2:30 p.m. and memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Casual attire/Lei welcome.
