James Olivares, 79, of Marina, Calif., an Army veteran, died in Marina. He was born in Waipahu. He is survived by wife Adeline; son Curtis; daughters Charlene Huihui, Celeste Hoering and Claire Olivares; sisters Lydia Dano and Bernice Marchan; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Rosary: 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, 94-675 Farrington Highway, Waipahu. Mass: 2:30 p.m. No flowers.
