71John Young Olohana "Big John" Davis III, 47, of Kaimuki, a security supervisor at Maximum Event Security and a Waikiki beach boy, died in Kaiser Medical Center. He was born in Nanakuli. He is survived by wife Louetta, hanai sons Jonah-Boy and John-Maui, hanai daughters Iwalani and Ku‘uleilani, parents John "Dee" Jr. and Lillian "Moi," and sister Linda Lapenia. Celebration of life: 8 a.m. Aug. 18 at Waikiki Beach Hula Mound, near the Duke Kahanamoku statue. Scattering of ashes to follow. Casual attire.
