81Soko "Shorty" Nishihira, 75, of Pepeekeo, Hawaii, retired owner of Shorty's Appliance Service, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. He is survived by wifeMarvalee, son Gene, daughter Jan, brother Kenneth, sisters Masako Tsukimura and Linda Otomo, and a grandchild. Visitation: 4 p.m. Friday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo.
