Walter Allan Sturm, 82, of Kailua-Kona, an engineer and computer designer for the federal government, University of California at Los Angeles teacher and a Navy veteran, died at home. He was born in New York. He is survived by wife Mary, daughters Nancy Sturm and Diana Hunt, stepsons Garey and Richard Rivera, stepdaughter Geraldine Aiwohi, brother Roger, numerous grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. Private services.
