CHARLES K. YASUDA Charles Yasuda joins his late wife Bertha on 11/27/12 after a rich and varied life of 83 years. He was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from the University of Hawaii. Charlie was a colonel in the US Army and served in the Korean War. His career was spent with the Dept of Agriculture for the State of Hawaii. Charlie was an amateur expert in many things. He developed a unique strain of goldfish, collected land shells, cultivated orchids, was a Master Gardener, enjoyed foraging for mushrooms, and loved to sing. Charlie is survived by his son, Kyle Yasuda, and daughter Cheryl Egashira, 3 granddaughters, Christine and Cari Egashira, and Mirei Yasuda; sister-in-laws Hazel Yasuda and Verna Matsumoto; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration memorial is being planned for the future.
