73Douglas Mario "Doug" Alfiler, 61, of Camas and Spanaway, Wash., owner of Hawaiian Express in Camas and former employee at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and United Airlines Flight Kitchen in Portland, Ore., died at home in Spanaway. He was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. He is survived by son Ryan; daughters Kim Gerlack and Tiana Mayachar; mother Mary Y.; brothers Mariano Jr. and Harold; sisters Eleanor Gonsalves, Vickie Jonet and Bessie Alfiler; and six grandchildren. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Saturday at the Alfilers' residence in Paauilo, Hawaii. Casual attire. Scattering of ashes to be held at a later date.
