71Koon Ye Ching, 97, of Lihue, a Lihue Plantation safety director, died in Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lihue. He is survived by son Steven; daughters Lora Deahl and Ellen Ching; brother Koon Chee “Wesley”; sisters Shew Young “Florence” Leong, Oi Kam “Mildred” Kam and Mew Lung “Elsie” Goo; and a grandchild. Visitation: 10 a.m. Dec. 15 at Lihue Christian Church. Services: 11 a.m. Private burial. No flowers.
