David Merritt Peters
Nov. 25, 2012 David Merritt Peters, 89, of Kailua, formerly of Wailuku, a former trustee of Queen Liliuokalani Trust and executive assistant to U.S. Sen. Daniel K. Inouye, and a retired Army colonel, died in Kai;lua. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Mary Melekahana; sons Keven, Wade and Shane Kapaona; daughters Lauren Moriarty, Diane Peters-Nguyen and Nani Burgess; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Cathedral. Services: 4 p.m. Burial to be held at a later date at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to David M.
