She was born in Three Rivers, Massachusetts to the late William N. and Eva Riopelle Archambault. Grace met and married the love of her life, Colonel (Ret) Ed Pickett in 1944. Their last assignment was Hawaii, where they retired and lived for over 25 years. At their Pupukea home she had a kiln where she did ceramics and marketed her creations to local furniture stores. Later they moved to the Hilton Lagoon Apartments and she could be seen daily swimming laps from the Hilton to Ft. DeRussy. Grace was involved with the Sweet Adelines and Honolulu Chorale.
