Walter Beh Herter Jr., 76, of Prattsburgh, N.Y., a civil engineer in California and for Blades and Mercury Aircraft in Hammondsport, N.Y., and an Army veteran, died. He was born in Cincinnati. He is survived by wife Betty Lou, sons W. Beh III and John R., sister Judy H. Moore and four grandchildren. Services to be held in Hammondsport. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Pulteney (N.Y.) Fire Department, Pulteney Library and St. James Episcopal Church in Hammonds-port, N.Y.
